On day two, the men´s Surf-Freestyle World Champions was crowned. In a tense 2025 GWA Wingfoil Surf-Freestyle Men’s Final, Benji Castenskiold, Axel Gerard, Aleks Acherer, and Xavi Corr went head-to-head with the world title on the line. In a tense 2025 GWA Wingfoil Surf-Freestyle Men’s Final, Benji Castenskiold (DEN), Axel Gerard (FRA), Aleks Acherer (AUT), and Xavi Corr (AUS) went head-to-head with the world title on the line. Gerard stole the early spotlight with a flawless Double Backflip scoring a perfect 10, but consistency kept Castenskiold in contention. As the pressure mounted, Acherer and Corr faltered, leaving the fight between Gerard and Castenskiold. A last-ride crash from Gerard opened the door for the 14-year-old Dane, who seized both the event victory and his first World Championship in his debut full season.

The women´s competition delivered standout performances. Reigning World Champion Nia Suardiaz (ESP) opened Round 3 with a clean backflip, while Marie Schlittenbauer (GER), fresh off her Fuerteventura win, dominated with a huge Palau Frontside 3 and stylish Frontflip to post 25.87 points. Mar de Arce (ESP) and Manon Dupé (FRA) also advanced straight to the semi-finals.

In Round 4, Bowien van der Linden (NED) showed precision and control to top her heat, with Allegra Caffi (ITA) joining her after a consistent display. Zara Maillard (SUI) and Viola Lippitsch (AUT) completed the semi-final lineup. The women’s title will be decided tomorrow on the final day of competition.
