For Stage 4 of the Absa Cape Epic the riders went on an 87km loop with 1.750 meters of climbing. The battleworn trails surrounding Greyton and Genadendal are characterised by energy sapping climbs and rolling descents that offer no real respite. After a relatively flat first quarter, the action began and riders had to deal with dangerous terrain, where every turn and every singletrack until the finish put them at risk of a puncture or crash.
