Stage 3 of the Absa Cape Epic was an ode to the past, a long day across open roads. The riders went on a 140km transition stage with 1.750 meters of climbing, from Montagu and heading through the iconic Cogmanskloof Pass to Greyton. Open roads stretched ahead with unsurpassed views of vineyards and orchards, and the Langeberg Mountains on the horizon. A brief, iconic pass through Riviersonderend reminded riders how long this stage really is, before a gradual trek led them to the finish line.
